GAME NOTES
• Friday's game against No. 6 Oregon marked Michigan State's first time playing back-to-back opponents ranked in the AP Top 10 (No. 3 Ohio State last week) since 2019 when the Spartans played three-straight Top 10 teams (No. 4 Ohio State, No. 8 Wisconsin, No. 6 Penn State).

SERIES
• Friday night was MSU's first visit to Eugene since 2014 and the second in a row against a ranked Ducks team, as the No. 7 Spartans lost to the No. 3 Ducks, 43-27, on Sept. 6, 2014 . . . Friday was the eighth time overall the Spartans and Ducks have met on the gridiron, and Oregon now leads the all-time series, 5-3.

OFFENSE
• MSU scored at least one rushing TD for the fourth game this season, also posting a ground score in the Florida Atlantic game (8/30/24), Prairie View A&M (9/14/24) and at Boston College (9/21/24).

• Sophomore quarterback Aidan Chiles was 10-of-17 passing for 154 yards. . . Chiles also rushed for a career-high 12 times, marking the first time in his collegiate career with double-digit rushing attempts, and finishing with 29 yards.

• Graduate running back Kay'ron Lynch-Adams scored his second rushing TD of the season with Friday night's touchdown . . . Lynch-Adams finished the night with nine carries for 32 yards and the score . . . Lynch-Adams also scored a TD in the season-opener vs. Florida Atlantic (8/30/24).

• Junior tight end Jack Velling made his return to the state of Oregon, after transferring from Oregon State . . . Velling had six catches for 53 yards . . . Friday's six catches tied Velling's season-high and both have come on the road, matching the half-dozen receptions at Boston College (9/21/24) . . . it was Velling's fourth game with multiple receptions.

• Senior wide receiver Montorie Foster Jr.'s 12-yard catch in the second quarter continued his streak of at least one reception in 19-straight games, dating back to 2022, which is the longest streak on the team . . . Foster has at least one reception in 29 of his last 41 career games played.

• MSU's defense registered its second game of the season with multiple interceptions, also with two picks in the season-opener vs. Florida Atlantic (8/30/24) . . . Friday marked the fifth time in the six games of the season that the Spartan defense snared at least one interception, with the game at Boston College (9/21/24) the only game this season without a pick.

• Michigan State's defense also registered 4.0 tackles for loss Friday night, as the Spartans have posted at least 3.0 TFL in each of the six games this season . . . after entering the Ohio State game leading the B1G in sacks, MSU did not post a sack for the second straight game.

• Junior defensive back Malik Spencer snared his first career interception with the pick in the first quarter in the end zone . . . Spencer is the fifth different Spartan defender with an interception this season . . . Spencer now has three passes defended this season (1 INT, 2 PBU) and nine for his career (1 INT, 8 PBU).

• Redshirt junior defensive back Charles Brantley snagged his third interception of the season with his second-quarter pick . . . Brantley also snared an INT in the Maryland game (9/7/24) and the Prairie View A&M game (9/14/24) in which he had his school-record 100-yard return for a TD . . . the three INTs now lead all Spartan defenders, as he is the lone of the five different Spartans with an interception to have multiple picks.

• Brantley finished with a game and season-high nine tackles, as his three top tackle totals this season have come on the road and more than doubling his previous season-best of four stops in both the games at Maryland (9/7/24) and at Boston College (9/21/24) . . . the nine tackles was Brantley's second-most of his career behind his top tackle total of 10 stops vs. Western Michigan (9/2/22).
• Junior defensive back Nikai Martinez logged a new collegiate career-high with seven tackles, surpassing previous career-high of six stops done four previous times, including in Spartan debut in season-opener vs. Florida Atlantic (8/30/24).

• Graduate defensive lineman D'Quan Douse posted a season-high 2.0 tackles for loss, just shy of his career-best 2.5 TFL vs. Virginia Tech (11/5/22) while he was at Georgia Tech.

• Ray Guy Award Watch List member redshirt sophomore punter Ryan Eckley boomed a 55-yard punt on his first punt of the night in the first quarter to register at least one 50-yard punt in his last 12 games, as part of 13 of last 15, and 14 of the last 16 games . . . by adding a 52-yarder in the third quarter, Eckley ups his career total of 50+ yards to 35 punts, including 10 this season through six games . . . Eckley finished with six punts for a 44.3 ypp average with the long of 55 yards and one inside the 20.

• Graduate placekicker Jonathan Kim split the uprights on MSU's PAT and added a 42-yard field goal . . . Kim is now 11-of-12 on PATs this season and 31-of-32 for his career . . . the 42-yard field goal keeps Kim perfect on FGs this season, improving to 9-of-9, including 4-of-4 on field goals of 40+ yards . . . Kim has split the uprights on at least one field goal in four of the six games this season and in 13 of his 18 games as a Spartan.
