
Former Spartan Taybor Pepper Preparing for Super Bowl LVIII

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Former Michigan State long snapper Taybor Pepper is preparing to play in Super Bowl LVIII with the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Feb. 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs will kick off at 6:30 p.m. and the game is being televised on CBS.
A six-year NFL veteran, Pepper is in his fourth season with the 49ers. He has played in 63 regular-season games and eight playoff games for San Francisco. Pepper began his career with the Packers in 2017 and also played one season with the Dolphins in 2019.
Pepper played in 54 games for the Spartans from 2012-15, which tied a school record at the time of his graduation. A four-year starting long snapper, he was a member of two Big Ten Championship teams (2013, 2015) and was a part of three bowl victories (2012 Buffalo Wild Wings, 2014 Rose, 2014 Cotton) during his Spartan career.
During the 2014 season, Pepper helped Michigan State set a school record with 72 made extra points, and in 2015, he was the long snapper on Michael Geiger's last-second field goal as time expired at No. 2 Ohio State in the win over the Buckeyes.
Pepper graduated from MSU with a bachelor's degree in media and information.
