It will be the Spartans' third race under first-year head coach Stacey Rippetoe and second back at Nathan Benderson Park.
MSU posted strong results at the season-opening Sunshine State Invite at Nathan Benderson Park where each of the seven Spartan boats qualified for grand finals on Friday, March 29. In the grand finals on March 30 the 2V4 highlighted the Spartan performances, medaling in second place.
In the second competition of the season, MSU dueled No. 9 Michigan in Belleville, Michigan on April 6. Six of the seven boats finished second overall, with the 2V4 once again coming closest to winning, finishing just a boat behind the national top-10 Wolverines.
Lineup changes after the bye week include: senior Sophia Ring moving up into the first varsity eight boat, Avery Rugg and Julie Armstrong joining the second varsity eight from the first varsity four and sophomore Elise Ciantar's season debut in a varsity boat.
