EAST LANSING, Mich. – Sophomore Hannah Hawley has been named Second Team All-B1G as announced by the Big Ten Conference on Wednesday morning. Hawley is the first Spartan to earn All-B1G honors since 2019 (Caitie Ladd, second team).
Making 50 starts for the Spartans in 2024, Hawley led the team with a .349 batting average, a .462 on-base percentage, a .671 slugging percentage and a 1.133 OPS. Hawley's 52 hits, 31 runs scored, 24 extra base hits and 25 walks also led Michigan State. Her 12 home runs ranked second on the team and are good for sixth all-time by a Spartan.
Hawley's slugging percentage ranked fifth in the conference and her on-base percentage ranked seventh, combining to rank sixth in OPS among qualified batters. Her 12 long balls ranked 10th in the league.
Hawley contributed to a strong season for the Spartans in the power department, with the Spartans slugging 50 homers in 51 games to rank #47 nationally and third for a single season in program history.
Junior Macy Lee was Michigan State's B1G sportsmanship honoree. A three-year starter for MSU, Lee started 50 games for the Spartans this past season splitting time behind the plate and as the designated player while navigating injury.
