GAME NOTES
• Michigan State honored former head coach Mark Dantonio, the winningest coach in school history, with the National Football Foundation On-Campus Salute at the break between the first and second quarters and was joined for the on-field recognition with members of his family, along with MSU University President Kevin M. Guskiewicz, MSU Vice President/Athletic Director Alan Haller and members of both the National Football Foundation and the Rose Bowl . . . for becoming the latest Spartan in the College Football Hall of Fame, Dantonio's name was also added to the Spartan Stadium Ring of Fame.

SERIES
• Saturday's match-up was the 53rd all-time meeting between Michigan State and Ohio State, and the Buckeyes now lead the all-time series, 38-15, including a 20-5 mark in East Lansing.

OFFENSE
• MSU's one-play, 12-yard, 0:07 scoring drive in the second quarter was the Spartans' third scoring play in less than 10 seconds, tying Boise State for third in the country in one-play touchdown drives, behind national leader Navy (5) and Utah (4) . . . Michigan State also scored on one-play drives in the Florida Atlantic game (8/30/24) on a 63-yard rush by Kay'ron Lynch-Adams and the Maryland game (9/7/24) on a 77-yard reception by Nick Marsh from Aidan Chiles . . . the 0:07 scoring drive was also tied for third-fastest in the country.

• Sophomore quarterback Aidan Chiles was 13-of-19 for 167 yards and one TD . . . Chiles' .684 completion percentage was season-high and second-most of career behind .692 in game while at Oregon State (.692, going 9-of-13 vs. UC Davis 9/9/23) . . . Chiles now has at least one TD pass in three of the five games, with five total TD passes on the season.

• Chiles connected with sophomore wide receiver Jaron Glover for a 12-yard TD pass in the second quarter . . . Saturday was Glover's first game back since the Maryland game (9/7/24) after missing the previous two with an injury . . . it was Glover's second TD catch of his career and season, with his first coming in the Maryland contest . . . Glover finished with team-highs of four catches for 53 yards . . . of his four catches, two went for either a first down or TD, as 16-of-25 (.640) career catches have gone for either a first down or TD.

• Freshman wide receiver Nick Marsh also made his return to action after missing last week's game at Boston College with an injury, and snared two receptions for 30 yards in limited action, with both going for first downs, including a 25-yard catch along the sidelines on a third-and-10 pass play, and also a 5-yard catch on a second-and-3 play . . . of Marsh's 13 catches on the season, eight have gone for either a first down or TD.

• Sophomore tight end Brennan Parachek tied a career-high with two catches for a career-best 27 yards . . . it was the third time in Parachek's career he's had two receptions in a game, last doing so last year also vs. Ohio State (11/11/23) . . . the 27 yards betters his previous top mark of 19 yards last season vs. Michigan (10/21/23).

• Senior wide receiver Montorie Foster Jr. had two catches on the night, extending his team-leading streak of at least one catch in 18-consecutive games dating back to 2022 . . . Foster has at least one reception in 28 of his last 40 career games played . . . the two catches was a season-low for Foster, as he had snared three or more receptions in all four previous games this season.

• Graduate running back Kay'ron Lynch-Adams had a team-high nine carries for 35 yards, while senior running back Nate Carter had six rushes for 27 yards, including a 19-yard scamper on the Spartans' first play from scrimmage.
• Carter's 27 yards push him over the 2,000 career yards plateau, now with 2,015 yards, and joins teammate Lynch-Adams (2,194 yards) on the active FBS 2,000-career yards list, becoming the sixth set of teammates on the list, and only one of two B1G teammates (Ohio State's Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson) on the list.

DEFENSE
• Michigan State defense entered Saturday's game leading the Big Ten in sacks and were denied a sack for the first time this season . . . the Spartan defense did have 3.0 tackles for loss, shy of their 8.0 average that also lead the B1G.

• MSU's defense did snare an interception for the fourth game out of the five this season with senior linebacker Jordan Turner's 36-yard interception return in the second quarter, snaring the ball at the OSU 48 and returning the pick to the OSU 12, setting up the Spartans' TD on the next play.

• Turner snared his first interception of the season and fourth of his career.

• Turner finished with a game-high nine tackles, bettering his previous season-high of matching his jersey number with seven stops twice, both against Maryland (9/7) and Prairie View A&M (9/14) and one shy of his career-best of 10 tackles, vs. Iowa (11/12/22) while at Wisconsin . . . Turner also had 0.5 tackle for loss, as he has posted at least 0.5 TFL in all five games this season, and also added one QB hurry.

• Junior defensive back Malik Spencer tallied a season-high seven stops, adding one pass break-up, tying his season-high for the second time this season and his career-best for the eighth time.

• Ray Guy Award Watch List member redshirt sophomore punter Ryan Eckley had a 58-yarder in the fourth quarter along with a 55-yarder in the third quarter and a 50-yarder in the fourth quarter, logging at least one 50-yard punt in his last 11 games, as part of 12 of last 14, and 13 of the last 15 games . . . Eckley now has 33 career 50+ yard punts, including eight this season through five games . . . Eckley finished with five punts for a 46.6 ypp average.

• Graduate placekicker Jonathan Kim had two kickoffs and both going for touchbacks, as Kim now has at least two touchbacks in all five games this season, with a season-high 65.0 ypk average.
