Hannah Hawley Named to D1Softball Top 100

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Junior Hannah Hawley was named to the D1Softball Preseason D100 Player rankings on Monday morning checking in at No. 100.
Hawley enjoyed a breakout campaign in her first season as a Spartan in 2024, leading the team in batting average (.349), on-base percentage (.462) and OPS (1.133). The Coventry, Rhode Island native also paced the Spartans in hits (52), extra base hits (24) and walks (25). Hawley split her time behind the plate and at third base for MSU last season.
Following her sophomore season Hawley collected a slew of post-season honors, picking up All-B1G Second Team and NFCA All-Great Lakes Region First Team accolades. She was the first Spartan to earn All-B1G honors since 2019. Her slugging percentage ranked fifth in the conference and her on-base percentage ranked seventh, combining to rank sixth in OPS among qualified batters. Hawley's 12 long balls ranked 10th in the league.
Michigan State gets its 2025 season underway at the Candrea Classic in Tucson, Arizona on February 6-8 where they'll take on Arizona, Alabama and Western Michigan. Arizona and Alabama each finished the 2024 season ranked in the Top 25.
