
Jadelyn Allchin Named Assistant Softball Coach

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State head softball coach Sharonda McDonald-Kelley announced the addition of Jadelyn Allchin as an assistant coach on Wednesday. Allchin joins assistant coaches Danielle Stenger and Bethany Wells on staff, and will assist with offense, defense and player development.
"We're very excited to add Jadelyn to our staff," said McDonald-Kelley. "Her experience playing with Athlete's Unlimited will be a great asset for our student-athletes, and her passion for softball was evident throughout this process."
Allchin completed her first professional season with Athlete's Unlimited in 2024 collecting 878 leaderboard points and tying for seventh in the league with 480 inning win points. She earned defensive MVP honors and achieved a season-high 130 leaderboard points on June 13 against Team Warren. During her rookie season, Allchin hit .292 appearing in 11 games with six starts.
Prior to her time in AU, Allchin was a four-year letterwinner at Washington before completing her collegiate career at UCLA in 2024. In her career Allchin appeared in 216 games along with 178 starts and finished with a .289 batting average. Allchin was a Second Team All-PAC 12 performer at UCLA where she hit a career-best .317 with 33 RBIs in 55 starts. She earned a spot on SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays for a diving catch in left field against Georgia in the NCAA Super Regionals last season.
Internationally, Allchin helped Team USA win gold at the 2019 WBSC U19 Women's Softball World Cup where she hit .421 with three home runs, nine RBIs and nine runs scored. She earned bronze with Team USA at the 2019 USA Softball International Cup.
A native of Fountain Valley, California, Allchin was named a College Sports Communicators Third Team Academic All-American in 2024.
