EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State head football coach Jonathan Smith held his weekly press conference Monday inside the Spartan Stadium North End Zone Media Center to preview the upcoming game at Minnesota.

Michigan State (3-5, 0-5 Big Ten) travels to Minnesota (5-3, 3-2 Big Ten) to face the Golden Gophers on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 3:30 p.m. ET/2:30 p.m. CT in Minneapolis. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.

Pat Fitzgerald was formally introduced as the 27th head football coach in Michigan State history at a press conference on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025 at the Greg and Dawn Williams Lobby in the Tom Izzo Football Building on MSU's campus, with MSU President Kevin M. Guskiewicz, Ph.D. and MSU Vice President and Director of Athletics J Batt.
