Here's a look at the week ahead (November 18-24) for Michigan State Athletics:
Women's Soccer
No. 2 seed Michigan State hosts Wake Forest in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday night at DeMartin Stadium (6 p.m.). This is the first time in program history that the Spartans have hosted through the first two weekends. The winner of Thursday's game will face the Xavier-Colorado winner on Sunday afternoon (1 p.m.) at DeMartin.
Men's Tennis
Play begins Tuesday for the NCAA Individual Championships in Orlando, Florida. Matthew Forbes enters the event as the No. 4 seed and Ozan Baris as the No. 8 seed, marking the first time in program history that Michigan State has two seeded players. Play continues throughout the week in the bracketed event, with the finals set for Sunday.
Cross Country
Michigan State men's and women's cross country teams will be represented at the NCAA Championships Saturday in Columbia, Missouri. The Spartan men will be making their first appearance as a team since 2021. Sophomore Rachel Forsyth will represent the women, after finishing third at the Great Lakes Regional.
Hockey
No. 1 Michigan State hosts No. 7 Wisconsin for a pair of contests at Munn Ice Arena. Friday night, the Spartans and Badgers face off at 8:30 p.m., followed by a 7 p.m. puck drop on Saturday. MSU enters the weekend on a nine-game win streak.
Men's Basketball
No. 17 Michigan State plays No. 12 Kentucky in the 2025 Champions Classic at Madison Square Garden in New York City Tuesday night. This is the 15th year of the best non-conference doubleheader in college basketball. The last time the Spartans and Wildcats met, MSU claimed a double-overtime victory in the 2022 Champions Classic in Indianapolis. Friday night, Michigan State is back at home to host Detroit (6:30 p.m.).
Women's Basketball
The No. 22 Spartans continue their season opening homestand with a pair of games this week. Thursday, MSU hosts Eastern Illinois at 6:30 p.m., followed by a Sunday 2 p.m. contest against Oakland to wrap up six straight at home. Through four games, MSU is averaging 102.8 points per contest.
Football
Michigan State will play its final road game of the season as the Spartans travel to Iowa to take on the Hawkeyes on Saturday. The game will be televised by FS1 at 3:30 p.m. Last season, MSU claimed a 32-20 victory at Spartan Stadium.
Volleyball
Michigan State is on the road for the final time in the regular season, opening the week at No. 24 Penn State on Friday. Sunday, MSU wraps up its road slate against Ohio State.
Wrestling
Members of the Michigan State wrestling team will compete Sunday in the Keystone Classic in Philadelphia.
