This Week In Spartan Athletics – December 9
Here's a look at the week ahead (December 9-15) for Michigan State Athletics:
Gymnastics
Michigan State gymnastics begins its season with the annual Green and White Meet on Dec. 13 inside Jenison Field House. The intrasquad event is a great way for fans to get their first look at the Spartans. Seniors Sage Kellerman, Stephanie Lebster and Olivia Zsarmani will serve as captains this season.
Men's Basketball
No. 9 Michigan State will play its first road game of the conference season as it travels to Penn State for a Saturday noon contest. The Spartans are tied for the national lead with four Quad 1 wins in the young season. PSU marks the sixth Power Four school MSU will have played in its first 10 contests, including its fourth straight.
Women's Basketball
No. 25 Michigan State will play its fourth straight game away from home when it travels to Chicago on Sunday to face DePaul at 5:30 p.m. on FS1. Through nine games, the Spartans lead the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.4), turnover margin (15.33) and turnovers per game (9.7).
