
Spartan Football Announces Additional Signees in 2025 Recruiting Class

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan State football program announced additional signees to its 2025 recruiting class during Wednesday's National Signing Day.

Michigan State is scheduled to open spring practice on Tuesday, March 18.

Nick Hardy – WR – 6-1 – 175 – Birmingham, Mich. – Groves High School

Antonio Johnson – OL – 6-3 – 300 – Detroit, Mich. – Orchard Lake St. Mary's Prep

Darrin Jones Jr. – RB – 5-10 – 190 – Lake Orion, Mich. – Orchard Lake St. Mary's Prep

Bryson Williams – ATH – 6-1 – 215 – Canton, Mich. – Orchard Lake St. Mary's Prep

Nick Hardy – WR – 6-1 – 175 – Birmingham, Mich. – Groves High School
- Hauled in 18 catches for 416 yards and four touchdowns his senior season
- Helped Groves to a 12-1 record and the MHSAA Division 2 semifinals
- Named to the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Division 2 All-Region First Team
- Honorable mention choice as a defensive back to the Detroit Free Press All-North Team and as an athlete on The Detroit News All-North Team
- Had 46 receptions for 1,211 yards and 14 TDs during his high school career
- Four-year varsity player for Coach Brendan Flaherty at Groves High School
- Older brother, Cayden Hardy, is a quarterback at Olivet Nazarene

Antonio Johnson – OL – 6-3 – 300 – Detroit, Mich. – Orchard Lake St. Mary's Prep
- Named to The Detroit News, Detroit Free Press and MLive Dream Teams
- Listed among the best overall prospects in the state of Michigan in the Class of 2025 by 247Sports (No. 15), The Detroit News (No. 19) and ESPN (No. 23)
- Ranked one of the top interior offensive lineman in the nation by ESPN (No. 64) and 247Sports (No. 75)
- Named to the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA) Division 2 All-Region First Team as a senior
- Selected to the Detroit Free Press and Detroit News All-North First Team
- Helped Orchard Lake St. Mary's to an 11-3 record and the MHSAA Division 2 state title his senior season
- Was a first-team MHSFCA All-State honoree in Division 2 as a junior in 2023
- Played for Coach Jermaine Gonzales at Orchard Lake St. Mary's

Darrin Jones Jr. – RB – 5-10 – 190 – Lake Orion, Mich. – Orchard Lake St. Mary's Prep
- Ranked one of the top overall players in the state of Michigan in the Class of 2025 by The Detroit News (No. 33)
- Led Orchard Lake St. Mary's with 1,281 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on 161 carries (91.5 ypg; 8.0 avg.)
- Collected seven 100-yard rushing games
- Accumulated more than 1,600 all-purpose yards (1,281 rushing, 152 receiving, 140 kick return, 38 interception return)
- Helped Orchard Lake St. Mary's to an 11-3 record and the MHSAA Division 2 state title his senior season
- Rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns in the MHSAA Division 2 state championship game victory over Byron Center; also had one catch for 8 yards to finish with a game-high 189 all-purpose yards
- Scored on a 43-yard rushing TD in the state semifinals over Groves High School to help send the Eaglets to Ford Field and the Division 2 state championship game
- Earned honorable mention all-state recognition by the Detroit Free Press
- Second-team selection on The Detroit News All-North Team and honorable mention choice to the Detroit Free Press All-North Team

- Versatile athlete played wide receiver, running back and safety while also returning punts and kicks at Orchard Lake St. Mary's
- Named to The Detroit News Dream Team and the MLive Metro Detroit Dream Team
- First-team all-state selection by the Detroit Free Press and the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association
- Named one of four finalists for the 2024 Mr. Football Award in the state of Michigan
- Ranked one of the top prospects in the state of Michigan by The Detroit News (No. 7), ESPN (No. 10), 247Sports (No. 14) and Rivals (No. 18)
- Listed among the best athletes in the country by ESPN (No. 21)
- Helped Orchard Lake St. Mary's to an 11-3 record and the MHSAA Division 2 state title his senior season
- Rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries (8.4 avg.) in state title game win over Byron Center
- Scored two touchdowns in the state semifinal win over Birmingham Groves, including the game-winner in overtime
- Led the state champion Eaglets in scoring with 20 touchdowns (nine receiving, eight rushing, two kick return, one punt return) and 124 points overall (adding two two-point conversions)
- Combined for 1,305 all-purpose yards (575 receiving, 380 rushing, 245 kick return, 105 punt return) as a senior
- Led the Eaglets with 40 receptions for 575 yards and nine TD catches
- Had 48 carries for 380 yards (7.9 avg.) with eight rushing TDs
- Also had nine tackles as a safety
- Named to All-Catholic League Team
- First-team selection on All-North Team by the Detroit Free Press and Detroit News
- Played for Coach Jermaine Gonzales at Orchard Lake St. Mary's
