Several Spartans Sign as Undrafted NFL Free Agents, Earn Invites to NFL Rookie Minicamps

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Following the conclusion of the 2025 NFL Draft, several Michigan State Spartans from the 2024 team signed as undrafted free agents and also earned invites to rookie minicamps.
Running backs Nate Carter (Atlanta Falcons) and Kay'ron Lynch-Adams (Carolina Panthers), along placekicker Jonathan Kim (Chicago Bears), signed as undrafted free agents, while defensive lineman Khris Bogle (New York Giants), cornerback Lejond Cavazos (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), defensive tackle D'Quan Douse (San Francisco 49ers), wide receiver Montorie Foster Jr. (Seattle Seahawks and Cleveland Browns), defensive tackle Maverick Hansen (Indianapolis Colts), center Tanner Miller (Las Vegas Raiders) and linebacker Jordan Turner (Denver Broncos) earned invites to upcoming rookie minicamps.
MSU had one player selected in the 2025 NFL Draft: offensive lineman Luke Newman, who was taken in the sixth round (No. 195 overall) by the Chicago Bears. Since the common NFL Draft era began in 1967, MSU has had a player selected in 58 of the 59 drafts. In addition, the Spartans have had at least one player selected in 84 of the last 85 NFL Drafts, dating back to 1941. In the total 90 NFL Drafts that began annually in 1936, the Spartans have had at least one player drafted 87 times.
