Meet the Spartans Returns on Thursday, Aug. 21

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State football fans of all ages are invited to attend "Meet the Spartans," powered by Biggby Coffee, on Thursday, Aug. 21 from 4-8 p.m. in Spartan Stadium.
Parking will be free on campus in lots 79 (south of Spartan Stadium), 62 (IM West, north of Spartan Stadium) and 39 (International Center). The stadium gates (B, C, J) will open at 4 p.m. and admission is free.
Second-year head coach Jonathan Smith will be available for pictures and Spartan players will be signing autographs for one hour from 5:30-6:30 p.m. as part of the free event (please note: fans are limited to one item for autographs). Autograph stations for the players will be positioned throughout the south concourse inside Spartan Stadium, while Coach Smith will be located near the North End Zone Engagement Center.
The 2025 Spartan football schedule poster will also be available and can be used for autographs.

PROMOTIONS
In addition to the Coach Smith photo station and player autographs from 5:30-6:30 p.m., MSU Athletics will have several free fan activations throughout Spartan Stadium as part of the Meet the Spartans event.

CONCESSIONS
Concessions will be available for purchase throughout the concourse at Spartan Stadium.
BAGS
Fans will be allowed to bring bags into Spartan Stadium for Meet the Spartans. Those bags will be searched by security upon entering the gate.
MEET THE SPARTANS HISTORY
The annual "Meet the Spartans" event ran for 17 straight years in August from 2003-19 before getting canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last April, the Spartans took pictures and signed autographs prior to the program's 2024 Spring Showcase in Spartan Stadium. The event is returning to August in 2025 in Spartan Stadium. Michigan State opens the 2025 season on Friday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. in Spartan Stadium against Western Michigan.

- Fans will have a chance to visit the playing field, take photos with MSU championship trophies, and meet the Michigan State Dance and Cheer teams. There will also be games on the concourse along with a video game lounge for fans to enjoy.
- Children will have the opportunity to meet Sparty and pose for photos with the popular mascot throughout the evening.
- Sparty's Locker Room, the Official Fan Supply store, will also be open for merchandise and apparel sales.
