Michigan State heads to Tempe, Arizona for Diablos Invite
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State men's tennis travels west to Tempe, Arizona for the Diablos College Invitational held at the Kiwanis Tennis Center Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27-28.
The Diablos Invite includes a highly ranked field that includes host and No. 11 ranked Arizona State, in addition to No. 29 Arizona, No. 31 UC Santa Barbara, No. 51 Liberty, No. 64 Washington, No. 68 Boise State and Tulane.
The Green & White hit the court on Friday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. ET, against the Arizona Wildcats.
Match two of the weekend will have doubles and singles play split up. Doubles matches will take place Friday night, while singles will be played Saturday morning. Times will be dependent upon the first match versus Arizona.
Michigan State is heading into the weekend after a strong 7-0 team win over Western Michigan last Sunday, Feb, 22. The Spartans look to build on their recent momentum and come out victorious.
Series History
This weekend marks the third-straight season that MSU and Arizona have faced each other and the series between the Spartans and the Wildcats is tied at 1-1. The Spartans enter the weekend aiming to break the tie, and gain a two-match win streak over the Wildcats.
