Spartans Complete Second Round at Clemson Invitational

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's women's golf team shot an 8-over par 296 in the second round of play and is in 13th place among 16 teams after the second day of play at the Clemson Invitational, being played on The Reserve on Lake Keowee (Sunset, S.C.).
The Spartans have posted consecutive rounds of 8-over par 296 to stand in 13th place at 16-over par 592 (296-296).
Florida leads the field at 11-under par 565, with Arkansas second at 8-under par 568, Vanderbilt in third at 6-under par 570 while Tennessee and Virginia Tech round out the top-five teams at 2-over par 578.
Senior Taylor Kehoe leads the Spartans, posting back-to-back even-par rounds of 72 to tie for 15th place at even-par 144 (72-72).
Freshman Sarisa Pojanalai is tied for 30th place at 3-over par 147 (72-75) and senior Paula Balanzategui is tied for 56th place at 6-over par 150 (78-72), tying for the team's best round of the day at even-par 72.
Senior Shannon Kennedy is tied for 73rd place at 9-over par 153 (74-79) and sophomore Grace Vetter is tied for 79th place at 11-over par 155 (78-77).
Freshman Lucia Valderrama, playing as an individual, is tied for 44th place at 5-over par 149 (75-74).
The Spartans tee off on Sunday at 10 a.m., playing alongside Clemson, LSU and the College of Charleston in the final round of the tournament.
