No. 8 Michigan State Closes Out Regular Season with Top-10 Matchup, Faces No. 3 Michigan on Sunday Afternoon

Ann Arbor, Mich. – Michigan State closes out the 2025-26 regular season on Sunday, March 8 (4:30 p.m., CBS) with its second top-10 matchup with in-state rival Michigan (No. 3) at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor. The Spartans, winners of five-straight games, are coming off a 91-87 win against Rutgers on Thursday night.
Sunday afternoon's game will air live on CBS, with Ian Eagle, Bill Raftery, Grant Hill and Tracy Wolfson calling all of the action. The Spartan Media Network radio call can be heard state-wide and on the web at MSUSpartans.com, with Will Tieman handling the play-by-play, Matt Steigenga serving as the color analyst and Zach Surdenik as the studio host. - Kur Teng, who scored a career-high 18 points at Indiana, is averaging 7.5 ppg and 2.1 rpg, while senior guard Trey Fort is tallying 3.7 ppg, redshirt freshman Jesse McCulloch is averaging 2.5 ppg and 1.4 rpg and senior guard Denham Wojcik averages 1.3 assists in 5.9 minutes ... Divine Ugochukwu, out for the season with a left foot injury, averaged 5.1 ppg, 1.5 rpg and 1.6 apg in 16.9 mpg in 22 games.
- MSU Head Coach Tom Izzo refers to his point guards as the head of the snake and that if the head falls, the body falls ... Redshirt sophomore guard Jeremy Fears has been the head of the snake this season.
- Not only leading the country in assists (272) and assists per game (9.1), Fears has been one of the most important players in the MSU rotation.
