MSU Athletics Announces PNC Achievers Student-Athletes of the Month

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State Athletics and PNC Bank are partnering to recognize the PNC Achievers Student-Athletes of the Month. Throughout the 2025-26 season, deserving Spartan student-athletes will be recognized for displaying well-rounded achievement through leadership in the classroom, in the community, and in competition.
This month's honorees are Kael Wisler (wrestling) and Olivia Zsarmani (gymnastics).
Wisler is in excelling the classroom with a 3.74 grade-point average as a civil engineering major. The native of New Boston, Michigan, is a three-time National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar All-American (2026, 2025, 2024), a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection (2026, 2025, 2024), a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar (2025) and a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree (2024).
Following his redshirt junior season, Wisler was named Michigan State wrestling's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient. He earned his first qualification for the NCAA Wrestling Championships in 2025-26 and finished the season with an overall record of 24-12 while competing at 197 pounds.
A team representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), Wisler has also volunteered his time at Teams for Toys, March is Reading Month and the Student-Athlete Food Drive.
Zsarmani is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree (2024-26) and 2025 Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-American. She was the recipient of MSU's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award in 2025. An advertising management major, Zsarmani owns a 3.40 grade-point average.
A native of Statesville, North Carolina, Zsarmani was named Second Team All-Big Ten for the second-straight year and combined for four individual event titles in 2026. For her career, Zsarmani is a three-time WCGA All-American, earning second team honors on both vault and bars at last year's NCAA Championships and a second-team nod on vault in the regular season in 2025. She won the Big Ten title on vault in 2025.
Zsarmani has also participated in several community initiatives, including March is Reading Month, Safe Halloween and the Student-Athlete Food Drive.
