Michigan State Men's Tennis Earns No. 1 Seed At The Big Ten Tournament
MSU will play the winner of No. 9 seed Indiana and No. 8 seed Oregon on Thursday in the quarterfinals.
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State men's tennis has earned the No. 1 seed going into the Big Ten Tournament, which will be held Wednesday-Sunday, April 22-25, held at Libby Park in Ojai, Calif.
Michigan State earned a first-round bye and will be joining the competition in the quarterfinals, competing against the winner of Wednesday's first-round match between the No. 9 seed Indiana and the No. 8 seed Oregon.
The Spartans will take to the court against either the Hoosiers or the Ducks on Thursday, April 23, at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT. Streaming can be found on BTN+.
MSU earned the top seed in a tiebreaker with Ohio State, as the Spartans and Buckeyes shared the Big Ten Regular-Season Championship, as they both enter the postseason with 12-1 conference records. Michigan State clinched its first regular-season title since 1967, while Ohio State secured its 20th-straight regular-season championship.
The Spartans hold an overall record of 15-8, with a B1G mark of 12-1. After claiming part of the Big Ten championship title at home this past Sunday, the Spartans are heading into competition with plenty of momentum to power them forward.
