Kellerman, Smith Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State gymnasts Sage Kellerman and Nikki Smith earned spots on the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large Team, the organization announced Tuesday.Â
Smith earns her third Academic All-District honor, while Kellerman is a first-time honoree.Â
To be eligible for Academic All-District selection, a student-athlete must be ranked in the top 75 in at least one event in the final Road to Nationals rankings and have competed at their divisional national championship event while maintaining at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.    Â
Smith, a studio art major, graduated from MSU in May with a 3.839 GPA. She finished her career as a seven-time All-American and qualified for the 2026 NCAA Championships as an individual in the all-around, finishing in eighth place. Smith is a four-time First Team All-Big Ten selection, the 2025 Big Ten Gymnast of the Year and was a finalist for the American Athletic Inc. (AAI) Award in 2026, which honors the top senior gymnast in the country. She is a three-time Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-American and Academic All-Big Ten honoree.Â
Kellerman, who holds a 3.634 GPA as a special education major, wrapped up her collegiate career at the 2026 NCAA Championships as an individual qualifier on vault and bars. During her career, she collected six All-America honors, three First Team All-Big Ten nods and a pair of Big Ten individual titles. Kellerman was also named the first-ever Big Ten Specialist of the Year in 2025. She is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, two-time WCGA Scholastic All-American and two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar.Â
Smith and Stephen are now eligible for CSC Academic All-America status, with those selections set to be announced on July 7. Â
