2007-08 (Sophomore): Started at heavyweight, earning an 8-14 record ... Won three matches at the EMU Open, pinning Brockport[apos]s John Chowske in 20 seconds and Central Michigan[apos]s Landon Winowiecki in 3:42, and winning a 9-0 major decision over Findlay[apos]s Cody Ruffer ... Recorded his third fall of the season against Cleveland State[apos]s Jeff Schuller at the MSU Open ... Competed in the Big Ten Championships.
2006-07 (RS Freshman): Started at heavyweight class, going 10-23 overall and 8-23 in NCAA action...Earned one fall and two major decisions in tournament action... Pinned Illinois[apos] John Wise in 1:14 en route to an eighth-place finish at the Midlands Open...Recorded a 10-0 major decision in the MSU Open, defeating Joe Tymoszczuk from Ohio...Earned a dual major decision win, 11-3, against Purdue[apos]s David Pisarcik...Also earned a dual victory against Michigan, besting Omar Maktabi, 2-1, in a tiebreaker; the 2-1 win clinched the dual for MSU.
