CAREER NOTES: Three-year letterwinner played in 22 career games with the Spartans, including nine starts (2018 vs. Purdue, Nebraska and Rutgers, 2020 vs. Rutgers, Michigan, Iowa, Indiana, Northwestern and Ohio State) . . . compiled a 4-5 record as a starter . . . was 159-of-332 passing for 1,902 yards with 11 TDs and 14 interceptions, while tallying 74 rushing attempts for 166 yards (2.2 ypc).

2019 SEASON (REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE): Played in eight games in limited action, playing a total of 51 snaps . . . completed 7-of-21 passes (.333) for 74 yards . . . was 1-of-6 passing for 5 yards in Penn State game . . . was 5-of-14 for 66 yards passing with one interception at Wisconsin . . . saw limited action at Northwestern, playing final three series of game, securing the victory for MSU . . . saw action in season opener vs. Tulsa, completing lone pass attempt while rushing twice for 2 yards, including 2-yard rush on fourth-and-1 to earn first down, then completed pass on next play, during MSU’s opening possession that resulted in TD . . . was one of 15 quarterbacks, including teammate Brian Lewerke, to participate in George Whitfield’s Commander Camp leadership program, spending time with Navy SEALs and U.S. Marines, in San Diego in July 2019.
