Jeremy Flynn brings more than 25 years of experience in student-athlete development, academic support, and athletic administration at Michigan State University.  As Associate Director of Student-Athlete Support Services, he oversees comprehensive academic support for multiple varsity programs, including men’s and women’s soccer, wrestling, and field hockey, while serving on the department’s senior leadership team.  Flynn also serves as Facility Manager for the Clara Bell Smith Student-Athlete Academic Center where he oversees operations of the 31,000-square-foot facility, leads strategic renovations, and manages major events, donor engagement, and daily logistics to support a culture of excellence.
Throughout his career, Flynn has been committed to developing the whole student-athlete—academically, professionally, and personally. He has mentored numerous Academic All-Conference and All-American honorees, while supporting teams to achieve record-setting cumulative GPAs alongside conference championships, NCAA playoff and national semifinal appearances (Final Four/College Cup). His student-athletes have gone on to successful careers across a wide range of fields including education, law, medicine, business, military service (including Navy SEALs), professional sports, and leadership roles with organizations around the globe.
Flynn has held multiple leadership roles within the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A), including serving on the Board of Directors for multiple stints and leading strategic initiatives that shaped the organization’s long-term vision. He is a Jon Gordon Certified Positive Leader and presenter. Passionate about leadership development, Flynn has spearheaded innovative programs such as the Big Ten Academic Fundamentals for Success and the Spartan Career Champions Program, both designed to equip student-athletes with the skills, habits, and vision needed to succeed beyond graduation.
In addition to his work in higher education, Flynn is an experienced coach, educator, and speaker who has presented to schools, teams, and community organizations on leadership, character development, and education. A native of East Lansing, Flynn earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management from Taylor University, where he was a four-year varsity football letterwinner and his master’s degree in athletic administration from Michigan State University. He and his wife Jodie are blessed with four children.
