Chaz Davis is in his third year on the Michigan State staff as an assistant director of football operations.

Davis spent the previous two years working for the Northern Arizona football program while earning his master’s degree in communication from NAU. He spent his first year in Flagstaff as a recruiting and operations assistant before getting promoted to Director of Player Personnel in June 2021. During the 2021 season, he was appointed Director of Football Operations in October while maintaining his Director of Player Personnel duties for the Lumberjacks.

Prior to arriving at NAU, Davis worked four years as a student assistant at Georgia in the coaches video and recruiting departments. He received his bachelor’s degree from UGA in 2020 in journalism.

Davis also has experience in the sports media field, working as an intern at KABC-TV and also FOX Sports in Los Angeles.
