Elyse Appelblatt joined the Michigan State football staff in April 2022 as the program's social media manager. Appelblatt will manage all of the football social media accounts and focus on building the Spartan brand through social media opportunities.
Appelblatt spent the previous two years working at Florida Atlantic, joining the Owls in April 2020 as the director of creative content before getting promoted to Assistant Athletics Director/Creative Content in late 2021. While at FAU, she oversaw all of the athletics social media accounts.
Prior to FAU, Appelblatt worked with the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) as director of new media/communications. Appelblatt served as the primary men’s basketball media relations contact, along with working with men’s soccer, baseball, men’s lacrosse and golf. In addition to communications responsibilities for her assigned sports, Appelblatt managed the conference’s social media and graphic design efforts.

Appelblatt joined the MAAC after spending the 2018-19 season at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl as the digital media and marketing postgraduate intern. There, she was responsible for assisting with the organization’s digital strategy, including social media, graphic design and email marketing. While in Atlanta, she also served as a game day communications assistant for the Atlanta United and volunteered for the Super Bowl LIII host committee and the 2018 MLS Cup.

Prior to her time at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Appelblatt spent her undergraduate career as a student assistant for Indiana University athletics in the media relations and marketing departments.

The Manalapan, New Jersey, native earned a bachelor’s degree in sport communication from Indiana University in 2018.
