Jensen Gebhardt enters his third year on the Michigan State football staff, his second as the recruiting operations coordinator. He joined MSU in 2021 as a player personnel coordinator.
Gebhardt spent the previous three seasons as a recruiting assistant with the Wisconsin football program in 2020, working with Saeed Khalif.
Gebhardt came to Madison after spending the 2017 season as quarterbacks coach at Assumption College, where he helped the Greyhounds claim the Northeast-10 Conference title and finish with a No. 9 national ranking in NCAA Division II.
Prior to his time at Assumption, Gebhardt spent the 2016 season at Gannon University, where he served as wide receivers coach. His introduction to coaching came at his alma mater, Thomas More College, where he served as volunteer coach for spring practice in 2016.
Gebhardt played quarterback at Thomas More and finished as the program’s all-time leader in passing yards, touchdown passes, completions and passing efficiency. He went 34-5 as the Saints’ starter and led Thomas More to a conference title and top-10 final ranking as a senior in 2015.
A native of Kings Mills, Ohio, Gebhardt graduated from Thomas More with a bachelor’s degree in business management in 2016. He is married to Madison Gebhardt.
