Peter Uzoma Nwoke • Born on December 31, 2002 in Lagos, Nigeria • The son of Rosleyne and the late Bertrand • Has an older sister, Adamma, and two half-brothers, Ikechukwu and Ifeanyi • Came to the United States in 2017 from his native Lagos, Nigeria • Carried a 4.12 grade-point average in high school • Grew up playing pickup basketball in his church shoes • Able to dunk a basketball when he first picked up a ball at 13 years old • Had never played organized basketball until matriculating to the United States • Visited Michigan State as a sophomore in high school when Orchard Lake St. Mary’s took part in the Izzo Shootout Team Camp • Favorite movie is Black Panther • Favorite TV show is Blacklist • Favorite book is Boys in the Boat • Favorite team is the Milwaukee Bucks • Favorite athlete is Giannis Antetokounmpo •.
