Bryan Rourke enters his fourth year with Spartan softball program. Rourke was a four-sport varsity athlete at St. Frances Cabrini High School, graduating in 2010.
A three-sport standout in high school, Rourke was named All-League, All-Downriver, All-Academic, All-Catholic, All-State, and team captain as he went undefeated his senior year in men's tennis. As a member of the hockey team, Rourke was named All-Downriver, All-Catholic, All-League, and All Academic. In baseball, Rourke was titled in All-League and All Downriver as he led the downriver standings with a batting average of .458 as a senior.
Rourke is a spokesperson for the American Heart Association.
As the youngest of three children, he is the second generation to attend Michigan State. His father, Kevin, graduated in 1979 and his brother Scott in 2008. He is pursuing a career is coaching collegiate softball, as well as motivational speaking.
