2025 (Senior):  CRCA National Scholar-Athlete Award recipient … Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All-Big Ten … In the varsity eight, finished fourth in the A final (6:32.55) at the Sunshine State Invitational (3/28-29), a half-length off of the podium after winning the semifinal heat (6:40.31) … At Eastern Michigan (4/5), earned an open-water victory over the hosts (6:36.6) in the varsity eight  … In the varsity eight at the Big Ten Invitational (4/18-19), missed a podium finish by three-tenths of a second on Friday morning (6:24.280), earned a second-place finish to Oregon State, (6:32.687), and wrapped the weekend with a first-place finish in the final race, clocked in a time of 6:36.733 – nearly a full length ahead of second-place SMU ... Finished second to host Indiana in the varsity eight at the Dale England Cup (4/26), about four seconds back from the Hoosiers (7:26.70-7:31.28), and open water over Notre Dame (7:41.67) … At IRA Sprints (5/4), rowed to a second-place finish in the varsity eight in the morning heat to earn a spot in the Grand Final against five ranked crews, finishing sixth in a time of 7:09.54 … In a time of 6:17.781, finished fifth in the varsity eight at Big Ten Championships (5/17-18), a length ahead of Ohio State - MSU’s best B1G V8 finish since 2014.
2024 (Junior): Big Ten Distinguished Scholar … Academic All-Big Ten … CRCA Scholar-Athlete …  In the 2V8, finished second to Miami in the semifinal heats of the Sunshine State Invitational (3/29-30), and then finished fourth in the Grand Final (6:46.57) ... In the second varsity eight, finished second to host Michigan (7:07.8) (4/6) ... In the second varsity eight, finished fourth to Clemson, Alabama, and Wisconsin (6:58.51), fourth behind Indiana,  (6:56.54), and fifth behind UCLA, Minnesota, Oklahoma, and Clemson (6:58.75) at the Big Ten Invitational (4/19-20) ... At Indiana for the Dale England Cup (4/27), finished second to host Indiana in the second varsity eight (7:16.5) ... In the second varsity eight at Sprints (5/5), finished second in the morning prelims behind Rutgers (7:13.87) and advanced to the Grand Final, finishing fifth (7:14.86) behind Brown, Rutgers, Columbia, and Dartmouth ... In the varsity four, finished seventh at the Big Ten Championships (5/19), clocked in a time of 7:31.059 ...
2022 (Freshman): Raced as a member of the varsity eight crew … Debuted at the Ivy/Big Ten Double Dual (3/26) in the four seat, helping the crew to a pair of second-place finishes … Took fifth place with the 1v8 crew at the Doc Hosea Invitational (3/27), clocking in a time of 7:02.83 … Won over Eastern Michigan (4/2) in a dual race at EMU, finishing in open water at 7:09.66 … With the varsity crew at the Dale England Cup (4/30), took fourth place in the race with a time of 6:57.1 … Raced in the six seat of the varsity eight boat at the Big Ten Championships (5/15), finishing the race in 6:46.488.
Prior to MSU:  Previously rowed for Marlow Rowing Club and then Henley Rowing Club... In 2020 won the Woman’s Junior Eight at Hampton Head before the remainder of the season was cancelled due to COVID-19... In 2021, came in first in the National Schools Regatta in a Coxed 4+, 5th in an 8+ at the British Championships, 2nd at Henley Woman’s Regatta in an 8+ and competed at Henley Royal Regatta in a Senior 8... Also played netball for St. Crispins School, helping them win a league title in 2018 and played for Wokingham Netball Team in the adult league.Â

Personal:  Daughter of Marko Engel and Nancy Race … Has one brother, Jakob … Mother rowed one year abroad at Western Ontario University (Canada) in 1989 … Will major in criminal justice at MSU.
