Bio
2021 (Freshman): Had a pair of third-place finishes in the five seat of the varsity eight at a double dual at Ohio State (3/27), twice taking on a top-five crew (Ohio State), and clocked in times of 7:11.37 and 7:33.39 … Raced in both the varsity and second varsity eight at the B1G/ACC Double Dual, with the V8 in the second session (7:35.66) and the 2V in the first (7:42.02) … Lined up once again against some of the nation’s top crews in the four seat of the second varsity eight and the at the Big Ten Invitational in Cincinnati (4/17-18), earning an open-water win over Louisville in the first session (6:59.28) and clocking a time of 7:14.41 in the second race before moving to the varsity eight for the final race on Sunday (6:59.27) … Earned a decisive open-water win at Eastern Michigan (4/24) in the two seat of the second varsity eight, registering a time of 7:12.54 … Finished third in the varsity eight (four seat) at Indiana’s Dale England Cup (5/1) but closed the margin from the previous races against both IU and Minnesota, clocking a time of 6:52.30 … Rowed in the four seat of the varsity eight at the Big Ten Championships, clocked in a time of 6:54.560.
Prior to MSU:  Was a three-time rowing letterwinner … As a junior, compiled seven top-four finishes (four gold medals), including a silver in the four at the state championships.

Personal:  Daughter of William and Leigh Smith … Earned Silver and Gold Pins for maintaining a 3.5 or better GPA for three consecutive trimesters … A member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society … Was a member of the marching band for all four years of high school … Plans on pursuing a pre-veterinary track.
