Dustin Steider joined the Spartans’ Athletics Performance staff on September 5, 2023, and serves as an Assistant Director, overseeing Men’s Soccer and Women’s Golf. He most recently served as Director of Sports Performance for Olympic Sports at Chicago State University, overseeing the entirety of the Sports Performance program.
Steider joined the Cougars in 2022 after serving as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana since 2019. Steider established the strength and conditioning program for the Earlham Quakers where he worked with approximately 250 student-athletes, poising 4 teams for Championship titles in 2021-22.
Steider began his collegiate coaching career at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania where he was an assistant swimming and diving coach (2018-19) before transitioning into the role of Assistant Director of Peak Performance for the Gators in 2019.
Steider earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sport Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he was a member of the men's varsity swim team. He then earned a Master of Science in Human Performance from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and Registered Strength & Conditioning Coach (RSCC) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and a USA Weightlifting-Level 1 Sports Performance Coach (USAW-1).
