2018: Opened the season with strong performances in the second novice eight at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational, (3/17-18), taking victories over Miami, Minnesota, and Clemson … In the second novice eight, fell to Virginia, Ohio State, and Michigan in Columbus, (3/31) … Swept the day at the Big Ten Double Dual (4/6), downing both Iowa and Indiana by open water in the second novice eight … Just missed a medal in the second novice eight at the Big Ten Championships (5/12), less than a second behind third-place Michigan.
Prior to MSU: Four-year varsity letter winner in basketball and three-year varsity letter winner in soccer at Columbia Central High School … Served as the captain of her basketball team during her senior season … Received awards in basketball for the Hustle Player of the Year in 2016 and Most Improved Player in 2017 … Also received awards in soccer including the 2014 Coaches Award and 2014 All-District Team … Other awards include: AT&T Scholar Athlete of the Week, Distinguished Young Woman of Jackson County in 2015, Spirit of the Irish Hills Award in 2015 and Spirit of Michigan Award in 2016 … Was the Salutatorian of her graduating class and served as the National Honor Society Secretary.
