2022-23 (Redshirt Freshman) 26-14 Overall, 17-9 Open Tournaments 9-5 Duals: Won five matches by fall, two by tech. fall and four by major decision … His 40 dual points ranked fourth on the team … Seven of his nine dual victories resulted in bonus points … Opened the season going 4-2 at the Clarion Open winning all four matches by decision … Placed fifth at the MSU Open in the open division with a 4-2 record, highlighted by a first period fall over Davenport’s Crue Cooper at the 1:35 mark and a tech. fall shutout over Northern Illinois’ Carter Grewe, 16-0 … Went 4-0 at the Black Knight Invite to claim his first collegiate individual tournament title, defeated Army West Point’s Daniel Lawerence with a first period pin and defeated Wolfgang Frable, 2-0. Earned his first collegiate victory when he pinned Northern Illinois’ Carter Grewe, followed his performance taking down Ohio’s Mason Clem, 7-2, to reach the finals … Went up a weight class at 197-pounds at the Purple Raider Open where he went 3-2 overall, in his first match he pinned Fairmont State’s at the 1:50 mark in the first period and defeated Virginia Tech’s national qualifier Dakota Howard, 5-2 … Went 5-1 at the Alma Open where he racked up a pair of first period falls over Alma’s Colin Fluharty and teammate Misha Lomboy.
