2023-24 (Redshirt Junior) 17-17 Overall, 13-9 Open Tournaments, 4-8 Dual: Had a pair of major decisions and tech falls, along with one fall recorded … 27 of his 34 matches were decided by a decision … Went 7-3 in his first 10 matches to begin the season. During that span he went 3-2 at the Clarion Open, then placed third at the Black Knight Invite going 3-1; his only loss came to eventual Big Ten Champion Braeden Davis in a close 4-2 bout … Went 4-3 at the Midlands Championships to place seventh. He opened the tournament with a 15-6 major decision victory over Cal Poly’s Koda Holeman, followed up with back-to-back tech fall victories over SIUE Davian Guanajuato (17-2) and Central Michigan’s Kaden Chinavare (15-0). His fourth victory came in a close battle against Central Michigan’s Sean Spidle, 4-3 … Defeated Illinois Justin Cardani, 2-0, as the Spartans defeated No. 26-ranked Illini … Entered the Big Ten Championships as the No. 10-seed where he went 2-2 to claim an automatic big for his first NCAA National Championship appearance … Entering the NCAA Tournament as the No. 33-seed, he defeated Brown’s Mike Joyce in the pigtails round, before falling to Big Ten foes Dean Peterson out of Rutgers and Davis from Penn State.
2022-23 (Redshirt Sophomore) 16-11 Overall, 9-4 Open Tournaments, 7-7 Duals: Won four matches by major decision, two by tech. fall and one by fall … Began the season winning nine straight matches, started 5-0 in dual matches; defeated Davidson’s Devon Diaco by a pin in the second round; earned a 15-5 major decision victory over Presbyterian’s Brayden Adams; had two decision victories and a forfeit against American, Binghamton and Princeton … Placed first at the Navy Classic with a perfect 4-0 record, won two low scoring matches against Ohio’s Oscar Sanchez, 1-0, and eventual national qualifier Tucker Owens, 3-1.

A four-time league champion ... Ended senior season with 35-2 record after a 35-1 mark in 2019, following going 37-6 at 115 pounds as a sophomore and 35-8 at 108 pounds as a freshman, finishing high school career with a 142-17 record ... A three-year team captain ... Earned three league championships and was a 2018 NHSCA All-American and National Champion at 113 pounds ... Wrestled for Team Selma Wrestling Club ... Was selected to the Principal’s Honor Roll in 2018 and Honor Roll in 2017... Named Athlete of the Month in 2019.

Planning on majoring in pre-law with a minor in sports marketing at MSU, with career ambitions of being a sports agent or attorney after wrestling career … His biggest wrestling influence is his uncle, Gary, because he wrestled Division I at Fresno State, and was one of his coaches … His greatest athletic experience was winning the 2019 and 2020 California state titles as he always wanted to since he was little … His favorite athlete is Kobe Bryant … He enjoys hanging out with friends and playing Spikeball with teammates.
