Rachel Sachs, MS, RD

Title:
Head Football Performance Dietitian

Rachel Sachs is in her first year as the head football performance dietitian at Michigan State.

Sachs has extensive experience in the field, working as a dietitian and nutritionist at several FBS programs, including Purdue, Florida State, Northwestern and Illinois.

She most recently was at Purdue the past year, serving as the primary dietitian for the Boilermakers’ volleyball, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, and men’s and women’s golf programs, in addition to assisting with football.

Sachs was a football dietetic intern for Florida State in 2021 while earning her master’s of science degree in exercise physiology from FSU in 2022. She also has experience as a dietetic intern at Northwestern.

Sachs graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree in dietetics from Illinois in 2020. She was a sports nutrition intern for the Fighting Illini for nearly three years, including working with the football team.

Sachs is a registered dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
