? SO RW Adam Hall scored a goal for the fourth consecutive game. Dating back to last season, Hall has scored 11 goals in his last 10 games. He has five career multiple-goal games, including four in his last nine games.
? FR G Ryan Miller, an East Lansing native, made his first career Munn Ice Arena start and posted his first career shutout. His first career start was a 6-2 win at Nebraska-Omaha last Saturday. Miller is the cousin of former Spartans/NHLers Kip, Kevin and Kelly Miller. He is just the 10th East Lansing native to play for the Spartans.
? MSU shut out OSU, 1-0, last night. This marks the first time since Nov. 11 & 17, 1995 (Illinois-Chicago, Miami), that MSU has had shutouts in back-to-back games. It is the first time since Nov. 24-25, 1990 (vs. Miami) that MSU has shut out its opponent in both games of a two-game series.
? JR RW Rustyn Dolyny, who finished second in the NCAA in short-handed goals last year with four, had his fifth career SHG tonight. He also had his eighth career two-goal game.
