? Michigan State snapped a three-game CCHA losing streak, its longest since Feb. 4-11, 1995, and improves its lead in the conference to three points over second-place Northern Michigan, which lost to Lake Superior, 4-1.
? SO D Jon Insana scored his second career goal just eight days after his first (last Sat. vs. Minnesota).
? MSU?s two goals within 23 seconds in the first period were the Spartans? fastest back-to-back goals this year.
? SR C Shawn Horcoff?s assist gives him 27 points on the year (6-21-27), tying Michigan?s Mike Comrie for the national lead in scoring. Horcoff leads the nation in assists.
? JR C Andrew Bogle had the fifth multiple-point game of his career and his first since March 20, 1998 (vs. NMU).
? JR W Sean Patchell (3-3-6) has surpassed his point total from all of last season (3-2-5).
