NOTES: The crowd of 6,943 was the second-largest crowd in the history of Munn Ice Arena, which underwent an expansion which opened Jan. 7, 2000. Tomorrow night will mark the 250th consecutive regular-season sellout at Munn, a streak which started Dec. 19, 1985 against Northern Michigan.
* MSU won its first overtime game of the year, improving to 1-2-2 in OT. NMU is now 0-1-2 in OT.
* SO RW Adam Hall scored his first career OT goal and his team-leading 18th goal of the season. Hall leads the nation with six game-winning goals. Hall has 24 goals in his last 33 games, dating back to last season. Entering the game, the only Spartan to score an overtime goal in his career had been SR C Shawn Horcoff (1998 CCHA title game).
* SR C Shawn Horcoff extended his point-scoring streak to six games and built upon his national lead in assists with his 36th. He is second in the nation with 46 points. He has a hand in seven of MSU's last 11 goals. Horcoff has either scored or assisted on 11 of MSU's 19 game-winning goals.
* MSU is 3-1-1 in its last five games against top-10 opponents, dating back to the championship game of the Great Lakes Invitational. The Spartans are 3-3-1 against top-10 teams on the year.
* MSU improved to 4-0-1 at home against NMU since Dec. 19, 1985 (the game that started Munn's sellout streak).
* MSU has scored one power-play goal in six of its last seven games. MSU has scored its first goal on the power play in each of the last four games.
* JR F Sean Patchell (two assists) had his third multiple-point game of the season and the fourth of his career.
* SR D Mike Weaver (two assists) had his second multiple-point game of the season and the seventh of his career.
* SR D Brad Hodgins had his sixth goal of the year. MSU defensemen have combined for 19 goals on the year after combining for 13 all of last season.
