Women's Gymnasts Fall To No. 11 Denver

The Michigan State women's gymnastics team was defeated by No. 11 Denver on February 11, in Colorado. The Spartans scored a total of 192.275 points, while Denver finished with 195.050.
Melissa Green (Jr., East Lansing, Mich.) had a season-high on the floor exercise with a 9.825, giving her a second place finish. Green also placed second on the uneven bars (9.800) for the second meet in a row, while junior Elisabeth Forshier (South St. Paul, Minn.) had a third place finish on the vault (9.800). Christy Linder (Fr., Fremont, Ohio) finished fourth (9.825) on the balance beam to tie her season best and scored a 38.500 to finish third in the all-around.
The Spartans return to action on Saturday, February 19 at 7:30 p.m. for a home meet against Pittsburgh.
