EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Spartan Radio Network will broadcast Saturday's Michigan State-Michigan outdoor hockey game live to 23 affiliates throughout the state. Veteran play-by-play announcer Scott Moore and former MSU All-America goaltender Joe Blackburn will call all the action from Spartan Stadium with face-off set for 7 p.m. EDT.
The MSU-Michigan outdoor hockey broadcast can be heard locally on WJIM (AM 1240, FM 97.5) and WVFN (AM 730).
"A tri-cast reflects the importance of this event," Citadel Communications General Manager Rod Krol said. "This is an historic event and with three stations carrying the outdoor hockey game, it ensures complete coverage for mid-Michigan."
"Statewide radio distribution is a first for Michigan State hockey," MSU Associate Athletics Director Mark Hollis said. "This is great exposure not only for the MSU hockey program but for the college game itself. The radio coverage map reflects the magnitude of this event."
