Goodenow Named CCHA Offensive Player Of The Week

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State's Joe Goodenow (Toronto, Ont.) has been named Central Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 15.
The senior forward scored his first goal of the season in the Spartans' 5-0 win over Lake Superior State Thursday (Oct. 11), then added a career-best two goals and three points in the series finale Friday, a 6-1 MSU win. Goodenow ranks second among Spartan skaters and is tied for seventh in the CCHA in points with 2-3--5 in three games.
Alaska Fairbanks' Aaron Grosul was named CCHA Defensive Player of the Week. The Nanooks' Jared Sylvestre was honored as the league's Rookie of the Week.
MSU returns to action this weekend with a single game vs. Ferris State at Munn Ice Arena on Saturday, Oct. 20. Faceoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET.
