Estrada Named CCHA Rookie of the Week

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State's Kevin Estrada (Surrey, B.C.) has been named Central Collegiate Hockey Association Rookie of the Week for Nov. 5.
The freshman wing scored his first career goal - the game-winner - in the Spartans' 6-3 win against Bowling Green Thursday (Nov. 1). He added a pair of goals, including his second game-winning marker in as many nights, in MSU's 4-0 shutout of the Falcons Friday (Nov. 2).
Ferris State's Rob Collins was named CCHA Offensive Player of the Week. Josh Blackburn of Michigan was honored as the league's Defensive Player of the Week.
Estrada is the second MSU skater to win league Rookie of the Week honors. Freshman defenseman Duncan Keith also won the award for the week of Oct. 22. Senior forward Joe Goodenow was the conference's Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 15.
