Michigan State Gymnastics Signs Two to National Letters of Intent

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State gymnastics coach Kathie Klages signed Briana Dicus and Katlyn Roggensack to National Letters of Intent for the 2006 season, she announced Thursday. Dicus attends Rochelle Township High School in Rochelle, Ill., and trains at Energym Sports Complex, while Roggensack trains at Midwest Academy of Warrenville, Ill., and is a student at Wheaton Warrenville South High School in Wheaton, Ill.
"These are two talented young gymnasts," said Klages. "They are both strong young women we expect to add to our program from the start of their careers at MSU."

Level 10 gymnast for Andy Morreale, Same Morreale, Nita Teague and Gene Margiotta at Energym in Sycamore, Ill.... Took 10th in the all-around at the 2004 Region 5 competition, as well as fourth in vault and eighth in the uneven bars... Took first in the all-around at the 2004 St. Nick Invitational... Finished fifth in the all-around, fourth on floor, fifth on vault and seventh on bars at the 2004 Twistars Invitational... Earned first in the all-around and beam, second on floor and third on bars and vault at the 2003 GymQuarters Invitational in St. Louis... Finished 13th in the 2001 Junior Olympics in the all-around... Was the 2002 Region 5 beam champion and took 11th in the all-around that year... Daughter of Ron and Angie Dicus... Plans to major in education with an emphasis in mathematics.
Katlyn Roggensack - Wheaton, Ill. - Wheaton Warrenville South HS - Midwest Academy
Level 10 gymnast for Marco Bravo at Midwest Academy in Warrenville, Ill.... Took ninth in the all-around and eighth on beam at Level 10 Nationals in 2002... Member of the 2002 Region 5 All-Star team that competed in the Marseille Cup in France... Earned the bars title and a sixth-place finish in the all-around at the 2002 Level 10 Regionals... Took bars and beam titles and third place overall at the Level 10 Illinois State Meet in 2002... Finished first in the all-around, on floor, on bars and second on beam and vault at the 2002 Buckeye Classic... Claimed the 2002 Bravo Classic all-around title... Level 10 regional qualifier in 2000 and 2001... Took third in the state meet all-around competition in 2001... Qualified for Level 9 National competition in 1999.
