Wrestling Signs Rocky Cozart To A National Letter Of Intent

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Head wrestling coach Tom Minkel has announced the signing of top recruit Rocky Cozart to a National Letter of Intent Wednesday. Cozart is ranked the No. 1 high school wrestler in the nation at 160 pounds by Amateur Wrestling News.
Cozart is a two-time Florida State Champion from Brandon, Fla. and enters his senior year with a career record of 147-3. He is a three-time National Junior Champion, winning his first national title in 2002 and two national titles in 2003. This year Cozart finished second in the Junior National Freestyle Championships and third in the Greco-Roman competition at the 160 lb. weight class.
Cozart's father, Russ Cozart, is his wrestling coach at Brandon High School, which has a streak of 395 consecutive dual meet victories dating back to 1973. The streak is a national high school record for any team in any sport.
