EAST LANSING, Mich. - + With a 104-46 win against UW-Green Bay today following the 104-72 win against Florida A&M on Nov. 19, the Spartans scored 100 points in back-to-back games for the first time since 1963-64. That year, MSU defeated Iowa, 107-89, on Feb. 22, 1964, and Northwestern on Feb. 29, 1964, 104-97. In all, the Spartans scored in triple-figures 10 times that season.
+ By giving up 104 points, the Phoenix allowed the most points since 1971, their second season in basketball.
+ While Michigan State struggled offensively in the second half of both exhibition games as well as against Florida A&M, MSU managed to shoot 19-of-36 from the field in the second half tonight against UW-Green Bay, good for a 52.8 percent shooting percentage.
+ The Spartans were a model of consistency tonight, hitting 19-of-36 of their shots in both the first and second halves, good for a field-goal percentage of 52.8.
+ Chris Hill currently stands at 1,273 career points, 18th on the MSU all-time scoring list. He needs three points to pass Quinton Brooks (1,275) and move into 17th place. He is currently in 10th place on the all-time assist list, with 320 in his three-plus years. He needs one assist to move into ninth place with Ken Redfield.
+ For the second consecutive game, State had six players reach double-figure scoring totals. Alan Anderson had a game-best 18, Paul Davis added 16, while Shannon Brown and Kelvin Torbert each had 15. Maurice Ager had 13 points, and Chris Hill contributed 10.
+ MSU has an all-time record of 60-17 in games played in November, including a 43-3 mark at home.
+ With 16 points and 11 rebounds, Paul Davis posted his fourth career double-double tonight. MSU has a 3-1 record when Davis reaches double-digits in both the points and rebounding categories. Davis' 11 rebounds were one shy of his career best.
+ The Spartans out-rebounded their opponents for the second consecutive game, pulling down 49 boards compared to UW-Green Bay's 26.
+ Alan Anderson tied a career high with 18 points tonight, the third time he recorded 18 points in a game. The last time was against Minnesota on Feb. 26, 2003. He shot 7-for-8 from the field and was 4-for-5 at the line.
+ Drew Naymick had a career night with three points, all coming from the free throw line.
+ Freshman Drew Neitzel posted a career-best eight points to go along with five assists. He also played a season-best 22 minutes.
+ Michigan State held UW-Green Bay to 46 total points and 24 first-half points, the lowest point totals for an opponent this season. The Spartans recorded 56 first-half points of their own, marking the second straight game in which they have reached the 55-point mark in the first half.
+ The Spartans sold out the Breslin Center for the 99th consecutive regular-season game. Since the start of the 1998-99 season, State has won 87 of its last 93 regular-season games in Breslin, a winning percentage of 93.5.
