
Big Ten Announces Spring Academic All-Conference Teams

As the 2005-06 school year comes to a close, the Big Ten Conference has recognized a total of 948 spring and at-large sports student-athletes who have been named to the Academic All-Conference Team, the highest spring total in the last 12 years. A total of 83 student-athletes from Michigan State made the list in the sports of baseball (12), softball (5), women's rowing (26), women's golf (6), men's golf (6), women's tennis (2), men's tennis (2), women's track and field (13), men's track and field (7), and ice hockey (4). To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be letterwinners in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a career grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better.
