Oliver Wolcott on Hahn: 'Crafty and deceptive on the mound... can pitch well in multiple roles, as a starter or a reliever ... tremendous work ethic.'
Scouting Hahn: Has worked on improving his mechanics and being more consistent throwing strikes... throws a solid change-up... has a great demeanor on the mound and will possibly battle for one of the top spots in the rotation.
2005: Medical redshirt.
2004: Made 12 appearances in relief as a freshman... posted two strikeouts each against Siena Heights (3/30), Illinois (4/10) and Purdue (4/24)... tallied a career-best three strikeouts against Grand Valley State (3/25).
High School: Earned first-team All-Great Lakes League honors as a senior... named 2003 GLL Player of the Year... posted a 5-0 record with a 0.22 ERA and 59 strikeouts in 32 innings... batted .429 with 10 doubles, three triples, two home runs and 26 RBI... received first-team All-GLL accolades as a junior... named GLL Player of the Year in 2002... garnered honorable mention all-state honors as a junior... posted a 5-2 record as a junior with a 1.03 ERA, 99 strikeouts in 52 innings... served as team captain as a junior and senior... led team to a No. 20 state ranking in 2002 and No. 2 ranking in 2003.
Personal: Born Feb. 3, 1985, to Kevin and Barbara Hahn... an accounting major... enjoys all sports and collecting coins... favorite team is the St. Louis Cardinals, and his all-time favorite player is Ozzie Smith.
