
Two Spartans Earn Big Ten All-Tournament Team Selections

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Seniors Geraldine Raynor (Marondera, Zimbabwe) and Michelle Ciliberti (Louisville, Ky.) took home Big Ten All-Tournament Team honors at this year's tournament. MSU was one of four teams with two players selected to the All-Tournament team, along with Iowa, Penn State, and Ohio State.
Raynor has seven goals and an assist for 15 points this season. A member of the Spartan defense, she's helped limit opponents to 30 goals and 90 penalty corners. Raynor recorded three shots on goal in the 4-2 win over Northwestern in the first round, and helped limited Iowa to six shots in the semifinal game.
Ciliberti led the team in the win over Northwestern, recording four points. She has 17 points so far this season, including six goals and posted the game-winning goal over the Wildcats in the Big Ten Tournament.
The Spartans await a bid to the NCAA Tournament. The selection show is set for Tuesday night at 8 p.m., and will be web streamed on NCAA.com. First round action is set to begin Nov. 15, with campus sites yet to be determined. The tournament will conclude at the University of Louisville with the semifinals and finals on Nov. 21 & 23.
