EAST LANSING, Mich. - On Saturday, Oct. 23, the Michigan State gymnastics team participated in the annual Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Lansing, Mich.
"Breast Cancer Awareness is the cause that collegiate women's gymnastics support," said MSU head coach Kathie Klages. "Our team is proud to be associated with the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. We hope our participation in the walk, along with our fifth annual Jan Howard Memorial Breast Cancer Awareness Meet in January, will help bring awareness to all."
As a team, MSU set a goal to raise $1,000 to help benefit the American Cancer Society prior to the event. Not only did the Spartans reach that goal, but they exceeded the target by $210.
Fans wishing to still donate to the cause can visit the MSU Gymnastics Strides Against Breast Cancer page here.
