
Wrestling Announces 2015-16 Schedule

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State wrestling coach Tom Minkel has announced the schedule for the 2015-16 season.
The Spartans will take on six of the top-25 teams from last year, all of which are from the Big Ten Conference, including home matches against Purdue (Jan. 15) and Illinois (Jan. 17).
MSU will open the season by traveling to Ypsilanti on Nov. 7 for the Eastern Michigan Duals. The two teams will meet again in East Lansing for a dual meet on Dec. 2.
The Spartans will then host the annual Michigan State Open at Jenison Field House on Nov. 15.
The team will travel to Central Michigan in Mt. Pleasant on Dec. 6 before opening up conference action at Michigan Dec. 10.
December will wrap up with the Cleveland State Open on the 12th.
MSU opens up 2016 with the Southern Scuffle, which runs from Jan. 1-2 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Spartans will then travel to Rutgers (Jan. 8) and Maryland (Jan. 10) for Big Ten meets.
Michigan State will host three consecutive conference meets, with Purdue (Jan. 15), Illinois (Jan. 17) and Indiana (Jan. 22) set to travel to East Lansing. The Spartans will take on defending NCAA Champions Ohio State at Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, on Jan. 24.
Northwestern travels to Jension Field House on Jan. 31 for MSU's final home meet of the season.
The Big Ten Championships will be hosted by Iowa on March 5-6 and the NCAA Championships will take place March 17-19 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
