Former Spartan Becca Mills Signs Professional Contract in Spain

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Former Michigan State women's basketball forward Becca Mills signed a contract to play professionally in Spain for Universitario de Ferrol.
The Midland, Mich., native, ended her Spartan career with 1,157 points (9.0 ppg) and 684 rebounds (5.3 rpg), while playing in 129 games, the third-most in MSU history. As a junior, she was named honorable mention All-Big Ten by both the coaches and the media. The forward was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree. Mills was also the recipient of Big Ten Sportsmanship Award during the 2014-15 season.
A captain last season, Mills appeared in all 31 games, averaging 9.5 points which was third on the team. She also averaged 7.3 rebounds which was second on the team. She finished second on the team with a 45.2% field goal percentage.
Ferrol is a city in the Province of A Coruña in Galicia, located on the Atlantic coast in northwestern Spain. The city has been a major naval shipbuilding center for most of its history. Today, the city is also known as the home of the shipbuilding yards of Navantia.
